Components of IS: HARDWARE
- Consists of computer equipment used to perform input, processing and output activities.
Components of IS: SOFTWARE
- Consist of computer programs that govern the operation of the computer.
- Finance software: process payroll, send bills to customers, provide managers with information to increase profit, reduce costs and provide better customer service.
Components of IS: DATABASE
- A database is an organized collection of interrelated DATA (RECORDS). They can be retrieved easily.
Components of IS: Procedure
- Strategies, policies, methods and rules for using computer information system including operation, security and maintenance of the computer.
- For example: some procedures describe when each program should be run.
The Telecommunication is a work arrangement in which the employee works outside the office, often working from home or at a location close to home (including coffer shops, libraries, and various other locations).
